Every Google+ page has been auto upgraded and given a new dashboard. Before this update, businesses had to posts updates seperate to a Google business page. Its now all combined into one dashboard.
Google has added local listings as an option for a type of Google+ page. You can now choose between storefront or service area pages. This is what makes Google Places now a part of Google My Business. Your Google Places listings have been converted into this new type of profile for you.
It’s important to login and update your content. Google My Business encourages posting content and sharing content with your audience with this new platform. This month try to visit your business page and make sure the information is current.
