Covid-19

NW Media Collective is open for business, but we are working remotely.

With the Coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak sweeping the nation, businesses are struggling to keep their doors open.

Here at NW Media Collective, we are open for business AND helping others push through these difficult times.

What’s the same?

  • The business is fully operational
  • We have normal business hours and availability (Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
  • Full service offerings including web development, design, marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and video production.
  • Your website will keep working. We’re not anticipating any issues with our hosting service providers who have all started their business interruption protocols. Your website will remain online and visible. We don’t have any equipment in our downtown office, we manage that side of the business remotely.
  • Higher than normal support volumes. At the moment we’re helping a lot of clients put up COVID19 related content and alerts on their site so we’re very busy. We have a number of clients who are on the front lines in our healthcare community and we are trying to keep up with their website request for free. At the same time, we have a large number of new request coming in for websites we’ve never worked on.
  • Experienced and personable team members are managing your accounts.
  • Your calls will always be answered by a real person. Our phone reception is fully remote at this point and automatically transfers your call to the appropriate team member.
  • We are trying our best to buy normal amounts of toliet paper.

What’s different?

  • We are working remotely 100% to protect the health of our employees and community. Luckily, we are in an industry that is able to work entirely remotely at the drop of a hat, so there are zero service interruptions.
  • Meetings will be online or over the phone. We are expanding our use of fantastic video conferencing tools like Zoom and we are always available for a phone call too.
  • Higher than normal support volumes. Many of our clients require Coronavirus/COVID-19 related updates and alerts and we are prioritizing these service requests. At the same time, we are working to deliver exceptional service to our existing clients and a growing number of new ones.

How we are helping the community

To help local businesses and organizations thrive during the pandemic, we are donating a portion of our web design/development services associated with the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

We are proudly offering free support to In It Together RN, a Vancouver-based nursing association. They formed a short term relief effort to provide much needed supplies to adult family homes in Clark County affected by the virus. Want to join the fight? In It Together RN needs your help! What’s your next step?

We are a small business just like our clients, and we’ll be the first to admit this is a tough time for us and all our clients. However, it won’t last forever. And this is the perfect time to plan what comes next in your business. It’s time to work ON the business rather than IN it.

Here are a few tips:

  • Fine tune your content strategy for your business marketing. Are there new ways you can reach customers online? Is your brand voice unified across these channels?
  • Write the content that you’ve been too busy to write. Now is the time to blog!
  • Review your target audience and make sure your website is talking to the right people. Your fans may have shifted during the outbreak.
  • Share insider knowledge that will attract an online audience. People may not be buying, but they sure are browsing! It’s a great time to build brand awareness through consumer education.
  • Explore business opportunities that don’t require physical customers in your place of work? Delivery and remote services are your friends.
