Google makes Google Shopping Listings free for retailers

Google announced that its shopping platform will be free for retailers starting next week. What does this mean? Well for one, smaller retailers that might not have an online store setup can easily get someting online.  It’s Google so your products will be available in search. Given Google has access to more shopping websites than any other platform, that could give its shopping tools an advantage over other online shopping platforms.

From Google, “Beginning next week, search results on the Google Shopping tab will consist primarily of free listings, helping merchants better connect with consumers, regardless of whether they advertise on Google. With hundreds of millions of shopping searches on Google each day, we know that many retailers have the items people need in stock and ready to ship, but are less discoverable online.”

It’s fairly easy to setup, I mean as a web company we want you to hire us. Times are tough, some people are having to eat that shimp flavored ramen. We get it. Google built out a pretty easy to follow get started guide for retailers. Visit their site, and click on the little guy at the bottom. That guide will walk you through setting things up.
