Emily Reed

“[S]ince I consult, I’m not really in a leadership role. ie I don’t manage people. The work I do on City Council comes from the desire to serve and make the town better. And I have no problem speaking up to turn things in the right direction. Will power is key. And taking the time to listen and read and make sure I have a full understanding before taking action. I don’t know if this is helpful. The other thing that drives me is the knowing that if I want a seat at the table, I need to step up and take space. To let the ideas or vision be the focus vs thoughts about traditional roles etc.”
